Butley Abbey Farmhouse offers the perfect retreat for your wedding party, just three minutes’ walk from Butley Priory. Surrounded by tranquil woods and pretty meadows, this elegant Georgian farmhouse overlooks a beautiful croquet lawn, tennis court and thatched summerhouse. The perfect location for gathering your guests for drinks the evening before, or a farewell brunch the morning after.

The farmhouse features a spacious family kitchen with modern amenities, three cosy sitting rooms with open fires, and a large dining room for up to 24 guests.

With twelve pretty bedrooms, there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. It is typically offered on a self-catering basis, or for the extra luxurious touch, we can recommend excellent local chefs.

It’s the perfect place to enjoy time with loved ones before and after the wedding day, offering privacy and luxury just minutes from the main venue.

Whilst attending the couple's celebrations, guests staying at Butley Abbey Farmhouse can take full advantage of the beautiful local amenities. Just a 15-minute drive away, Woodbridge, offers charming shops, cafes, and glorious walks along the River Deben. For music lovers, Snape Maltings is nearby.

A short drive takes you to Aldeburgh, a picturesque Victorian seaside resort known for its shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, and famous fish and chips. For golf enthusiasts, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, and Woodbridge all boast excellent courses, while Thorpeness’ boating lake and the iconic ‘House in the Clouds’ are also close by.
