Winter Wedding Inspiration

1. Welcome Supper
Host a warming welcome supper for your guests inside the Farmhouse, to kick start the celebrations. A hearty hotpot or Festive canapes will be sure to get the party started.

2. Ceremony
Seat up to 100 guests inside the Great Hall beside a roaring log fire and plenty of candlelight. Pine & Eucalyptus will fill the room with the perfect scent for this time of year.

3. Drinks Reception
Lead your guests into the cosy Drawing Room for drinks & canapes beside an open log fire. Switch up your drinks and offer hot mulled wine, or Festive Amaretto Sours.

4. Wedding Breakfast
For the wedding breakfast in the Great Hall, you can seat up to 80 guests on long tables or up to 60 guests on round tables. Adorn your tables with plenty of candlelight for some serious ambience.

5. Photo opportunities
Butley Priory is blessed with some beautiful backdrops indoors, including the impressive mantlepiece in the Great Hall, or the light filled stairwell, perfect for couple portraits.

6. Cocktail hour
Introduce a cocktail hour after the wedding breakfast to rev up your guests for the evening reception. We make a killer Espresso Martini, as well as a kicking Moscow Mule!

7. Evening Reception
After sunset, dance the night away under the vaulted ceilings of the Great Hall. Live bands and DJs are welcome, with carriages for midnight. Up to 120 guests.

8. Fluffy pillows and comfy beds
Arrive the day before and depart the day after your wedding, allowing for a two night stay for a truly relaxed winter wedding celebration.

9. The morning after...
Gather together inside the Farmhouse or Priory, for a relaxed farewell brunch of frothy coffee and warm pastries…
