Bedrooms to dream in...

Crisp bedlinen and flowersDespite the antiquity, 21st century comfort is assured in the bedrooms, which include such luxuries as linen sheets, log fires, and goose down duvets. A sitting area, morning tea tray, tv and hi fi system are provided in all main bedrooms.

Prices are per room and include a large delicious full English breakfast, vegetarian breakfasts are a speciality.

Rooms are let on a double occupancy basis – single occupancy rates can be arranged during weekdays.

We regret that as demand is so high at weekends, weekend bookings must be for a minimum of two nights (Fri & Sat or Sat & Sun).

In order to confirm your booking we would like your name, address, credit card number, expiry date and security number. We will only use your credit card in the case of a no show or cancellation without due notice. When checking out, you may pay by cheque, cash or card (but we do not accept American Express). We require 48 hours for cancellation of a weekday room, and a minimum of 4 days for a weekend booking.

The Yellow Bedroom

This is a very large and airy double room with a huge south facing stone Gothic window over the garden. Rest on the comfortable window seat, high above the birds and trees and contemplate. White muslin canopy bed, log fireplace, TV, armchairs, white embroidered bed linen.

A smaller double bedroom (18ft x 15ft approx) incorporating the bathroom, with enormous antique cast iron bath and shower and the bedroom in one open plan space. A damask curtain affords bathers privacy if required.

This is a fabulous huge room newly opened for Bed & Breakfast.

A very romantic room with faded antique wallpaper and 2 Georgian windows with window seats, facing east and south over the gardens. The room has a huge super king sized (7 foot by 7 foot) bed, a working log fire and ensuite bathroom.

A huge bedroom with a big South facing Georgian window overlooking the garden. This room features an Emperor sized bed (7 foot x 7 foot) with white muslin canopy and drapes. Chaise longue, armchair, log fireplace, TV and white embroidered bed linen. There is plenty of space for additional childrens' beds to be put up in this room; we have an antique swinging crib for tiny babies. An intriguing private flight of stairs leads down to the bathroom (with bath).
